You never really know what to expect from people. Some people will always be there for you. Some people will find new ways to hurt you every time they get the chance. Sometimes it’s not always the actions, but the absence of action. Sometimes they surprise you by just being there, without ever having to ask. Sometimes you want to smack them upside the head & ask what’s wrong with them. The even more crazy part is when they manage to put 2 opposing things into a matter of minutes. Sometimes people you thought or hoped would always be there, leave. 

There are enough things in this world that try to bring you down, that the only way to stay afloat is to take the good things & hold on to them. Maybe I’m far too forgiving, sometimes I think that’s a fault of mine, but I’d rather try to find the good in life, in people, in events. Even when it may have caused me pain. Otherwise, what’s left to keep me from sinking into despair? I’d rather not. I know that’s not always something I can keep from happening on my own, but those who help are priceless.
